Free Unlimited Hosts - The Story Behind a Popular New Industry

Over the last couple of years there has been a dramatic increase in the number of Free Web Hosts around the internet, especially a new bread of web hosts that offer free and unlimited hosting, most with no ads. There main sources of revenue are through the optional Paid Upgrades they offer and Advertisements on the hosts main site, or occasionally on users sites.

OrangeServe one of the first web hosts, on the internet to follow this business model, run by a Free Web Hosting pioneer himself Richard, was really the first host to take advantage of this model, and reaped the rewards from this new and exiting industry. In OrangeServe's hay day they had over 10,000 active free clients and a couple hundred paid ones. Trouble was Richard sold OrangeServe soon after and that's when things began to crumble. Richard who no doubt was a pioneer of the industry, has since run a number of successful Free Unlimited Web Hosts, in his time with his latest project being SharkServe that has since been sold.

Another, still active industry pioneer is a company called DearServe again running on the same business model, but unlike it's predecessors looks promising. It hasn't been sold nor does it force advertisements on users sites, and since it launched at the start of 2012 has always been determined to offer good quality free hosting. Run by Brayden & Jack from a company called Quickk, DearServe has helped pioneer this industry for a while and will be a good one to watch.

So it's and interesting industry and for those who are looking for cheap if not free web hosting, that's of paid hosting quality I would be following these companies and this new growing market closely as it's only going to get bigger.
